Directs the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board to convene a Task Force on Police Officer Suicide within one month to study available data and make recommendations for preventing police officer suicide in Illinois.

Task Force shall consist of at least 10 members including representatives from law enforcement organizations, the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police, the U.S. Attorney for the Central District of Illinois, mental health advocates, and academic experts; a chair shall be elected from membership.

Task Force members shall serve without compensation but shall be reimbursed for necessary expenses.

Requires the Board to submit findings and recommendations from the Task Force to the General Assembly by December 31, 2012.

Resolution notes that police officers face high-stress situations and that the national police officer suicide rate (17 per 100,000) exceeds the general Illinois suicide rate (9.1 per 100,000).
