Designates the first week in May of 2012 as Bungalow Appreciation Week in the State of Illinois.

Chicago style bungalows, defined as rectangular, 1 1/2-story brick homes with low-pitched roofs built between 1910 and 1945, comprise approximately 113 housing units in Berwyn.

Most Berwyn bungalows were constructed between 1920 and 1930 during a period when the city's population more than tripled.

American Bungalow Magazine recognized Berwyn's bungalows as "Chicagoland's Greatest Treasure" in 2007, and This Old House Magazine designated Berwyn as the best neighborhood for bungalows in 2011.

Berwyn's policy encourages continued viability of bungalows by providing resources and incentives for owners to restore homes and maintain the city's unique streetscapes and neighborhoods.
