Designates April 2012 as Fair Housing Month in Illinois to promote equal housing opportunities and combat discrimination

Affirms that individuals have the right to choose where to live without discrimination based on race, color, religion, age, gender, family status, national origin, or disability

Recognizes that discriminatory housing practices and unlawful practices threaten stable, integrated residential housing patterns and limit opportunities for some citizens

Acknowledges that grassroots organizations, non-profits, financial institutions, elected officials, and state agencies must work together to promote and preserve fair housing

Directs presentation of the resolution to the Interfaith Housing Center of the Northern Suburbs in recognition of their 8th Annual Fair Housing Month Event on April 25, 2012 at the Glenview Public Library
