Illinois Senate expresses condolences for the death of Mary Belle Lyons of Peoria, who passed away on June 10, 2012

Born March 17, 1931, in Flora; worked over 35 years for Illinois Bell and AT&T as a dispatch controller before retiring in 1988

Volunteered extensively at Peoria Neighborhood House, Bel-Wood Nursing Home (15 years), Hanna City Grade School PTA, as Cub Scout den mother, and as sheriff's tour guide at Peoria County Jail

Survived by sons Cal (Joni) Lyons and Kevin Lyons; grandchildren Callie Jayne, Cara Fulkerson, and Julie Lyons; four great-grandchildren; brother James T. Harrison; and James E. Dalrymple

Senate directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to the family as a symbol of sincere sympathy
