Sidney Peter Ross Jr. of Peoria passed away on June 5, 2012, at age 68.

Served in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1968 and an additional 2 years in Naval Reserve Command.

Retired in 2009 after 38 years of service at Caterpillar Inc. as a member of United Auto Workers Local 974.

Survived by his wife Martha Marie Ross (married September 20, 1980), three daughters, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and extended family.

The Illinois Senate adopts this resolution to express sympathy and mourn his passing, with a copy to be presented to his family.
