Edgar W. Pigg of Lake Bluff passed away on May 17, 2012, at age 86.

Served in the United States Navy on the USS Satago during World War II and graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1951.

Had a distinguished career in auto sales, beginning with Studebaker and later owning a Volkswagen dealership in Waukegan before retiring in 1985.

Served as former Lake Bluff Police Commissioner, past president of Lake County Chamber of Commerce, Waukegan Rotary Club district governor, and active member of Grace United Methodist Church and American Legion Post #510.

Survived by his wife of 58 years Henrietta, three children, six grandchildren, and two sisters.
