Illinois Senate expresses condolences for the death of Richard 'Dick' Donohoo, who passed away on June 11, 2012

Donohoo was born October 3, 1932, in Pearl and married Glenna Bissell on May 10, 1952; he graduated from Pearl High School in 1951

Served in the U.S. military from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean War in Anchorage, Alaska, and was a member of the United Brotherhood of Teamsters for 35 years

Worked for Consolidated Freightways for 25 years until retirement in 1991, then for Wood River Township Parks and Maintenance Department until 2003; served as Democratic Precinct Committeeman for 20 years

Survived by his wife of over 60 years, one son, one daughter-in-law, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends
