Illinois Senate expresses mourning for Jeffrey Scott Newyear of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who died on May 23, 2012.

Newyear was born September 22, 1959, in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, graduated from Carmel High School, and attended Gateway College.

Served in U.S. Army from 1981 to 1983 as a machine cell technician in Europe and held multiple supervisory positions.

Survived by his mother Betty Rae (Kaiser) Loren Stried, five step-siblings, uncles Robert Birky and Richard Sleyster, and numerous cousins.

Senate directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Newyear's family as an expression of sympathy.
