Warren Sloan of West Frankfort died on July 24, 2012; he was born April 11, 1926, to Ira and Flossie Sloan and married June Forbuss on August 8, 1946.

Served as a U.S. Army veteran in World War II and the Korean War in the 764th Field Artillery.

Held memberships in Moose Lodge 795, Elks Lodge 1340, and VFW Local 5764; served as precinct committee man, township trustee, street supervisor, and business agent for Local 188 Laborers Union.

Survived by his wife June, five sons (Bob, Chuck, Kenny, and Jim Sloan), one daughter (Nora Lelase), nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Illinois Senate extends condolences to Warren Sloan's family and directs a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to his family.
