Senate Resolution mourning the death of LaVerne Weber of Oswego, who died on July 23, 2012.

LaVerne Weber was born August 13, 1932, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1954, attaining the rank of corporal.

He was a member of Carpenters Union Local No. 916, Montgomery Memorial VFW Post 7452 (serving as post commander for four years), and served as scoutmaster for Oswego Boy Scout Troop 63 during the 1970s.

He worked as a carpenter for many years and retired in 1994, and is survived by his wife Barbara, five children, multiple grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The Illinois Senate extends condolences to his family and friends, and directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to his family.
