Jackie L. LaPayne of Wyoming died on August 7, 2012; he was born June 7, 1941, to Cleo B. and Alice E. Jackson LaPayne in Peoria.

Worked as a welder for Larson Manufacturing in Princeville, Kress in Brimfield, and Caterpillar in Peoria before retiring in 2003; served as an alderman in Wyoming.

Member of Wyoming Lodge 479 Ancient Free & Accepted Masons, Alta Lodge 748 AF & AM, Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Peoria, Order of the Eastern Star, and Stark Congregational Church.

Survived by son Rex LaPayne, daughters Colleen Pearson and Sherry LaPayne, and six grandchildren: Eryn, Nicholas, Katelyn, Alexander, Evan, and Rylie.

Illinois Senate extends condolences to LaPayne's family and friends.
