Marc Victor Burnett of Peoria died on September 20, 2012; he was born February 3, 1953, in Belleville at Scott Air Force Base.

Served as director of marketing for the Peoria Civic Center since 2000 and was instrumental in bringing the Broadway Theatre Series, WorldFest, and community organizations to life.

Was a Eucharistic minister and lector at Holy Family Church, founded the Peoria Civic Center Student Advisory Program, and performed music with the Burnett Family Singers.

Survived by his wife Ann (married February 25, 1984), sons Ty Michael and Van Powers Burnett, five brothers, four sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Illinois Senate extends condolences to his family and directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to the Burnett family.
