Dr. Norris A. Erickson of Aurora, Illinois passed away on August 20, 2012, at age 68.

Graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1972 and opened Erickson Chiropractic Center in Aurora in 1976; received multiple professional honors including Fellow status from Palmer Academy in 2000 and Distinguished Fellow from the International Chiropractic Association in 2001.

Served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1967 with military police in Panama; was long-serving commander of Roosevelt Aurora Post 84 American Legion and past Kane County commander of the American Legion.

Instrumental in bringing the Moving Wall to Aurora in 1989 and in renaming Veterans' Island with a memorial dedicated to all veterans; also member of Masonic Lodge #254 and Aurora Area Shrine Club.

Survived by wife Sally, three daughters (Krista, Karsta, Christine), son Phillip, and four grandchildren; Illinois Senate extends condolences to his family and friends.
