Senate Resolution mourning the death of J. Gordon Hannagan of Gifford, who passed away on October 19, 2012.

Hannagan was born March 12, 1931, in Urbana and was a prominent auctioneer who sold over 80,000 acres of land in Champaign County and surrounding areas.

Inducted into the American Quarter Horse and Illinois Quarter Horse Halls of Fame; owned and operated Gordyville, USA, an equine auction and event center with his wife Janice.

Member of St. Lawrence Church and multiple professional associations including the Illinois Auctioneers Association, American Quarter Horse Association, and National Cutting Horse Association.

Survived by his wife Janice, six children, one sister, multiple grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
