Ken J. McNatt, born and raised in Loveland, Colorado, passed away on September 4, 2012, and was survived by his wife Dolores, two daughters, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Served as a U.S. Navy pilot in the Pacific theater during World War II, achieving the rank of lieutenant junior grade and receiving the Purple Heart, Distinguished Flying Cross, and Air Medal for saving four crew members by landing his damaged aircraft after the pilot was killed.

Completed college at the University of Denver in 1948 and worked in sales at Exxon for 35 years before retiring in 1983.

Served the Wheaton and Milton Township communities for decades, including 36 years on the Warrenville Fire Protection District board starting in 1975, four terms as a Milton Township trustee beginning in 1989, and as president of the Arrowhead Homeowners Association.

Received the City of Wheaton's senior Good Citizen award in 2009 and was named veteran of the month by the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs in 2011.
