Anna Theodora Schalz passed away on October 28, 2012, at age 98, having been born on May 2, 1914, in St. Charles.

She operated the Schalz Meat Market in Aurora with her husband John C. Schalz (married May 7, 1930) and worked 24 years as a housekeeper at Sunnymere Retirement Home, retiring in 1997.

Long-time member of St. Therese and Holy Angels Parishes who enjoyed spending time with family, attending grandchildren's events, and dancing polka.

Survived by four children, 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren (soon to be 25), one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Senate extends sincere condolences to her family and directs presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to the Schalz family.
