Illinois Senate expresses condolences for the death of Richard R. "Dick" Bell of Wood River, who passed away on November 16, 2012.

Richard Bell was born November 23, 1926, in Saint Louis, Missouri; served in the Navy; graduated from University of Illinois; and was a partner in Worcester and Bell Construction Company.

Bell held extensive community involvement including 40+ years of perfect attendance at Wood River Rotary Club (Paul Harris Fellow), commissioner positions, and board memberships at multiple financial institutions and civic organizations.

Bell is survived by his sister Marjorie J. Bell Grufman, brother William F. Bell, son Paul Michael Bell, daughter Mary Bell, three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Senate directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Richard Bell's family as an expression of deepest sympathy.
