Frederick A. Wuellner passed away on November 19, 2012, and the Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and friends.

Wuellner was born July 16, 1923, in Alton and served in the United States Army during World War II, including the invasion of Normandy at Utah Beach and service in North Africa and Italy.

He served as President of J.J. Wuellner and Son Construction Company and was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, VFW Post 1308, and various civic organizations including the Southern Illinois Builders Association and Riverbend Growth Association.

Wuellner is survived by his wife Betty, six children, two siblings, and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The Senate directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Wuellner family as an expression of sympathy.
