Honors Reverend Tom C. "TC" Sturdivant, who died on November 25, 2012, and was born March 25, 1936, in York, Alabama.

Recognizes Rev. Sturdivant's service as a civil rights activist who marched with Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King in Selma, Alabama, and housed civil rights activists.

Notes his pastoral service as senior pastor of St. Luke M.B. Church in Peoria for more than 19 years and as pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Galesburg for more than 21 years, and his railroad career ending in 1993.

Acknowledges his service with Baptist organizations including roles as unit district moderator, president of the Baptist Minister Alliance, and participation in the State Baptist General Conventions.

Survives by his wife Katie, six daughters, four sons, 35 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; the Senate expresses sympathy to his family and community.
