Honors the memory of Hurley L. Green, who passed away on November 1, 2012, at age 85.

Recognizes Green's career in journalism beginning in the 1970s as publisher of Bulletin Newspapers and host of "Issues Unlimited," a television show on WGN Channel 9 that featured panel discussions and interviews with local and national newsmakers.

Acknowledges Green's community influence and connections with Chicago political leaders including both Mayor Daleys, Mayors Harold Washington and Eugene Sawyer, and civil rights figures including Rev. Jesse L. Jackson and Rev. Martin Luther King.

Notes Green's military service in the United States Air Force with honorable discharge in 1948 and his achievement of homeownership on Chicago's South Side in 1963 and 1966.

Directs the Illinois Senate to present a copy of this resolution to Green's surviving family, including his sons Hurley III and Lee J. Green, grandchildren, and great-grandson.
