Illinois Senate resolution mourning the death of James D. "Jim" Pittman of Aurora, who passed away on December 2, 2012 at age 82

Pittman taught biology at West Aurora High School for 34 years, coached golf and basketball, and earned his master's degree from the University of Illinois

Served 2 years in the U.S. Army at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and graduated from Aurora College with a bachelor of science degree

After retirement from teaching, worked as a starter and marshal at Orchard Valley Golf Course for 20 years and was active in Golden Kiwanis, St. Olaf Lutheran Church, and volunteered at Dryer Medical Center

Resolution extends condolences to his wife of 60 years, Doris, his four children, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, and other family members
