IL HB0010

Amends the University of Illinois Hospital Act, the Ambulatory Surgical Treatment Center Act, and the Hospital Licensing Act to require disclosure when bone, organs, human tissue, or foreign objects are placed into a patient's body.

Requires hospitals and ambulatory surgical treatment centers to fully disclose to patients the source of any implanted material, the date it was obtained, the date it was placed in the patient's body, and the location of placement.

Applies to placement of artificial joints, prostheses, and other foreign objects in addition to human tissue and organs.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
