Court clerks in counties with automated record keeping systems may charge a court automation fee of $1 to $15 per case, collected when parties file their first pleading or upon judgment/supervision grant.

An additional $10 operations fee for probation and court services must be charged to defendants in felony, traffic, misdemeanor, and ordinance cases upon guilty judgment or supervision grant, except in cases with bail amounts of $120 or less.

An additional fee equal to the automation fee amount must be collected from defendants convicted or granted supervision in felony, traffic, misdemeanor, and ordinance cases, with proceeds sent to the State Treasurer for the State Police Operations Assistance Fund.

An additional fee equal to the automation fee must be collected for conservation-related violations under specified environmental and wildlife statutes, with proceeds sent to the State Treasurer for the Conservation Police Operations Assistance Fund.

State Police may transfer fees from the State Police Operations Assistance Fund to the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm Systems Fund, with 66.6% allocated for homeland security initiatives and 33.3% for airborne operations.
