Amends the Local Governmental and Governmental Employees Tort Immunity Act to expand the definition of "local public entity" under the Fire Protection and Rescue Services Article.

Includes private persons, organizations, and corporations as local public entities when they provide support to fire departments, fire protection districts, or rescue squad districts during emergencies.

Covers specialized operations teams for hazardous materials mitigation, underwater rescue and recovery, technical rescue, and incident management.

Applies only when these private entities are activated at the specific request of a fire chief or designee pursuant to a formal mutual aid system such as the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System.

Effective immediately upon passage.
