Amends Criminal Code to exempt certified teachers employed by school districts from unlawful use of weapons charges if they carry firearms with written school board permission.

Teachers must complete at least 40 hours of training approved by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, covering law enforcement theory, liability, and weapon handling, or complete 20 hours of security officer training plus 20 hours of firearm training and obtain a firearm control card.

Teachers may carry firearms while performing employment duties or commuting between home and workplace.

Explicitly prohibits school districts from requiring any teacher to carry a firearm as a condition of employment.

Firearm control card renewal conditions match those established under the Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith Act of 2004.
