IL HB1202

Adds Section 11-42-15 to the Illinois Municipal Code authorizing municipal governments to regulate, locate, and prohibit retail tobacco stores within their jurisdiction

Defines "retail tobacco store" according to the definition in Section 10 of the Smoke Free Illinois Act

Applies only to tobacco stores opened after the effective date of this amendment and to existing tobacco stores that change ownership after the amendment's effective date

Does not apply retroactively to tobacco stores in operation at the time the amendment takes effect
