IL HB1203

Amends the Counties Code Section 5-12014 to modify notice requirements for zoning ordinance amendments affecting real property in counties.

Eliminates the requirement that notices include a metes and bounds legal description, allowing notices to instead include the common street address(es) and property index number(s) (PIN) of affected parcels.

Maintains all existing procedural requirements for hearings before the board of appeals, voting thresholds for text and map amendments, and protest procedures.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
