• Amends the Unified Code of Corrections to make sentences for sex offenses indeterminate with respect to maximum sentence imposed, applying to offenses committed on or after the bill's effective date.

• Requires courts to determine 30 days before completion of a sex offender's sentence (excluding mandatory supervised release) whether the offender poses a danger to the public and allows courts to extend sentences for any period deemed appropriate if danger is found.

• Permits courts to revoke probation, conditional discharge, or supervision for sex offenders and resentence them to imprisonment if continuing such arrangements would pose danger to the public.

• Defines "sex offense" as any offense listed in Section 2 of the Sex Offender Registration Act for purposes of this section.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
