IL HB1220

Amends the Covering ALL KIDS Health Insurance Act by modifying the definition of "resident" in Section 10 of the Act (215 ILCS 170/10).

Changes the residency definition to reference Section 5-3 of the Illinois Public Aid Code instead of the previous standard based on temporary or transitory presence in the State.

Replaces the prior definition that defined a resident as an individual either in the State for non-temporary purposes during the taxable year or domiciled in Illinois but temporarily absent.

Section is scheduled to be repealed on July 1, 2016.
