IL HB1351

Modifies suspension of retirement annuities when annuitants return to work as participating employees, allowing continued annuity payments if authorized under Section 7-137.1.

Defines participating employee status for returning annuitants as those working more than 599 hours annually (or 999 hours with employers that adopted a specific resolution).

Establishes annual measurement periods for hours worked beginning on the month and day of initial employment following the annuity effective date.

Preserves supplemental annuity calculations for those returning to service, with different formulas for those serving less than 48 months versus 48 months or more.

Exempts the state from reimbursement requirements under the State Mandates Act for implementing this legislation.
