Allows unlicensed funeral home owners to interact with consumers while a licensed funeral director is present, provided they do not engage in funeral directing activities themselves.

Permits licensed funeral director and embalmer interns to remove deceased human bodies without another licensee present.

Allows general (rather than immediate direct) supervision of licensed personnel when transporting embalmed remains to locations other than final disposition, such as other funeral homes or common carriers.

Clarifies that only licensed funeral directors, funeral director and embalmers, or interns under supervision may have direct consumer contact to explain funeral merchandise or services and negotiate contracts at-need.

Exempts certain clerical tasks from the definition of funeral directing, including phoning in obituaries, ordering flowers, and reporting prices as required by Federal Trade Commission regulations.
