IL HB2702

Amends Section 33-3 of the Criminal Code of 2012 to add a new provision prohibiting public officers, employees, and special government agents from intentionally or recklessly influencing financial institution decisions on loans or lines of credit.

Conviction for violating this section results in forfeiture of office, employment, or position as a special government agent and constitutes a Class 3 felony.

Applies to persons acting in their official capacity or as a special government agent, with "special government agent" defined by the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
