IL HB2737

Adds Section 2-160 to the Civic Center Code requiring civic center authorities to make their buildings available for emergency purposes upon request from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency, state-accredited emergency management agencies with jurisdiction, or the American Red Cross.

Requires civic center authorities to cooperate with the Illinois Emergency Management Agency, local emergency management agencies, state-accredited emergency management agencies, local public health departments, the American Red Cross, and federal agencies involved in emergency preparedness and response.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
