IL HB2812

Amends the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act by adding Section 3.5 to exempt state agency-operated health care facilities funded through General Assembly appropriations from most requirements of the Act, except when discontinuing facilities or services.

Requires state agencies to notify the Health Facilities Planning Board in writing when receiving appropriations for construction, modification, establishment, or service changes at state-operated health care facilities.

State agencies must provide the Board with estimated service capacity, project location, estimated opening date, and notification when the facility receives licensure from the Department of Public Health or other licensing bodies.

State agencies must submit annual facility questionnaires and respond to information requests from the Board on behalf of state-operated health care facilities.

The Section 3.5 exemption expires 5 years after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 98th General Assembly.
