Public Building Commissions may rent buildings and facilities to not-for-profit corporations and non-profit organizations or associations, in addition to existing authorized lessees including governmental agencies and municipal corporations.

"Not for profit corporation" is defined as an Illinois corporation organized under the General Not For Profit Corporation Act of 1986, in good standing with the State, and granted exempt status under Section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code.

"Non-profit organization or association" is defined as any organization or association where no part of net earnings benefits any individual.

The Board of Commissioners retains discretion to determine rental terms and conditions for non-profit entities under the same authority previously held for other authorized lessees.

The Act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
