IL HB3054

Adds vehicles of the Illinois Department of Corrections and Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice to the list of authorized emergency vehicles under the Illinois Vehicle Code.

Authorizes these same departments' vehicles to display red or white oscillating, rotating, or flashing lights under specified conditions.

Creates new Section 12-215.1 prohibiting unauthorized possession of emergency vehicle lights, sirens, and other emergency vehicle indicia within motor vehicles, with Class A misdemeanor penalties.

Requires law enforcement to seize prohibited emergency vehicle equipment upon discovery during legal searches, with defendants able to petition courts for return only upon proving legitimate and lawful use.

Expands manufacturer exemption for demonstration lights to include authorized vendors and requires "out of service" signage on demonstration vehicles if lights are not covered while operating on highways.
