IL HB3083

Increases the penalty for knowingly selling or giving a firearm to a person convicted of a felony from Class 3 felony to Class 2 felony.

Increases the penalty for knowingly selling or giving a firearm to a person under 18 years of age without a valid Firearm Owner's Identification Card from Class 3 felony to Class 2 felony.

Adds paragraph (i) to the unlawful sale or delivery of firearms statute to specifically address sales to minors without proper identification.

Makes the act effective immediately upon becoming law.
