Amends Section 9-207 of the Code of Civil Procedure regarding notice requirements for terminating short-term tenancies.

Reduces the notice period for terminating tenancies of less than one year (excluding week-to-week tenancies) from 30 days to 15 days, in writing.

Maintains the 7-day notice requirement for week-to-week tenancies where the tenant holds over without special agreement.

Allows landlords to maintain forcible entry and detainer or ejectment actions after providing the required written notice to terminate tenancy.
