IL HB3207

Amends the Emergency Telephone System Act to establish staggered 3-year terms for Emergency Telephone System Board members in counties with populations of 100,000 or less, with terms expiring on January 1, 2015, 2016, and 2017.

Allows corporate authorities to remove Emergency Telephone System Board members by majority vote for misconduct, official misconduct, or neglect of office.

Maintains existing board composition requirements: minimum 5 members including at least one public resident member, one county board member (in counties under 100,000), and at least 3 public safety agency representatives.

Permits multiple municipalities or counties to establish a Joint Emergency Telephone System Board through intergovernmental agreement instead of individual boards.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
