• Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure Section 112A-14 and the Illinois Domestic Violence Act Section 214 to expand firearm possession prohibitions under orders of protection to include stun guns and tasers in addition to firearms and ammunition.

• Extends firearm restrictions to respondents subject to orders of protection issued by any other state, U.S. territory, or the District of Columbia that are substantially similar to Illinois orders, not just Illinois orders.

• Requires respondents' Firearm Owner's Identification Cards and weapons be turned over to law enforcement for safekeeping during the order duration, with return upon expiration if the respondent is still eligible to possess firearms.

• Clarifies procedures for disposal of firearms when respondents cannot be located, fail to retrieve weapons, or become ineligible to possess them, allowing law enforcement to destroy weapons, use them for training, or transfer to eligible third parties.

• Adds new provisions for school-based relief in the Domestic Violence Act, allowing courts to order respondents to transfer schools, change placement, or accept movement restrictions when both parties attend the same school.
