IL HB3375

Amends the Illinois Pension Code sections governing Downstate Police and Firefighter pension boards (Sections 3-143.5 and 4-134.5).

Requires pension boards to provide written notice to the mayor or president of the municipal board of trustees at least 48 hours before each meeting, including the time, date, location, and agenda.

Declares any action taken at a meeting where the required 48-hour notice was not provided to be invalid.

Applies these notice requirements in addition to existing obligations under the Open Meetings Act.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
