Amends Section 8-802 of the Code of Civil Procedure regarding physician-patient confidentiality exceptions.

Adds a new exception (13) allowing physicians to notify the Department of Human Services when they determine a patient poses a clear and present danger to themselves or others, pursuant to the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act Section 8.1.

Maintains existing exceptions to physician-patient privilege including homicide trials, malpractice actions, patient consent, actions involving the patient's physical or mental condition, and various criminal proceedings.

Clarifies that the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Confidentiality Act takes precedence in cases of conflict with this section.
