Court automation fee charged by circuit court clerks ranges from $1 to $25 per case, collected at the time of filing the first pleading in civil cases or upon judgment of guilty/grant of supervision in criminal cases.

Additional $10 operations fee for probation and court services charged to defendants in felony, traffic, misdemeanor, local ordinance, or conservation cases upon judgment of guilty or grant of supervision (effective July 6, 2012).

Additional fee equal to the court automation fee (maximum $15) imposed starting June 1, 2014, for felony, traffic, misdemeanor, or local ordinance cases, remitted to State Treasurer for State Police Operations Assistance Fund.

Additional fee equal to the court automation fee (maximum $15) imposed starting June 1, 2014, for violations under conservation-related statutes and specified sections of the Illinois Vehicle Code and Criminal Code of 2012, remitted to State Treasurer for Conservation Police Operations Assistance Fund.

Fees are assessable as costs and may be waived only by court order; automation fees are deposited into county court automation fund for hardware, software, and related personnel costs.
