Amends the Health Care Worker Background Check Act to add time limits on hiring prohibitions for individuals convicted of specified offenses.

Establishes a 2-year prohibition period following conviction for misdemeanors involving direct care positions at health care employers and long-term care facilities.

Establishes a 5-year prohibition period following conviction for felonies involving direct care positions at health care employers and long-term care facilities.

Applies these time limits to convictions under subsections (a), (a-1), and (b) of Section 25, which list offenses related to crimes against persons, drugs, and financial crimes.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
