IL HB5510

Amends the Unified Code of Corrections to add a new mandatory condition of parole or mandatory supervised release requiring individuals to reside within the county where they lived immediately prior to commitment to the Department of Corrections.

Requires the Department of Corrections to release individuals on parole or mandatory supervised release only to an address located in their pre-commitment county of residence.

Modifies Section 3-3-7 (conditions of parole, mandatory supervised release, and aftercare release) and Section 3-14-1 (release from institution) to implement the county residence requirement.

Maintains existing parole conditions related to criminal statutes, firearm restrictions, reporting requirements, drug testing, sex offender restrictions, and other supervisory obligations.
