Increases the Plainfield Park District board from 5 commissioners to 7 commissioners effective upon the 98th General Assembly's enactment.

Provides for 2 newly appointed commissioners: one appointed by the state House member in the district and one appointed by the state Senate member in the district.

Appointed commissioners serve until the next consolidated election following the Act's enactment, then transition to elected positions with initial 2-year terms and subsequent 6-year terms.

Section 2-27 establishing the appointment process is repealed on June 1, 2017, after which the board operates under Section 2-28 with all 7 commissioners elected.

Vacancies in appointed commissioner positions are filled according to Section 2-25 of the Park District Code.
