Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure to require a minimum cash bond of $1,000 for weapons offenses under Article 24 of the Criminal Code that are Class X, Class 1, Class 2, or Class 3 felonies.

Mandates that a source of bail hearing be conducted prior to posting bail for weapons offenses, allowing the court to examine the legitimacy and lawful source of bail funds.

Requires the court to inquire into the background, character, and relationship of any surety or person posting cash bail, as well as whether bail funds constitute proceeds of criminal or unlawful conduct.

Permits the State's Attorney to request a source of bail hearing either before or after bail is posted, with the court issuing an order approving or disapproving the bail upon conclusion of the hearing.
