Will County Board may impose a judicial facilities fee by ordinance, up to $30 per case, with approval from the Chief Judge of the applicable judicial circuit.

In civil cases, each party pays the fee when filing the first pleading or appearance; no additional fee required if multiple parties are represented in a single filing.

In criminal cases (felony, misdemeanor, ordinance, traffic, conservation), the fee is assessed against defendants upon conviction, supervision order, or probation sentence; waived if fines are paid in full without court appearance.

All fee proceeds must be deposited into the Judicial Department Facilities Construction Fund and used solely for building new judicial facilities within Will County.
