• Amends the Criminal Code of 2012 to add exemption from unlawful use of weapons provisions for currently employed tactical paramedics while performing official duties.

• Defines "tactical paramedic" as a person licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health as an emergency medical technician-paramedic under the EMS Systems Act and assigned by a law enforcement agency to a tactical response team or special operations team.

• Exempts tactical paramedics from restrictions on carrying or possessing pistols, revolvers, stun guns, tasers, and other firearms in vehicles, concealed on their person, or in public areas within city and village limits.

• Exempts tactical paramedics from the aggravated unlawful use of a weapon statute during the performance of their official duties.
