• Requires insurers to cover screening MRI for breast cancer when medically necessary and approved by physician, if American Cancer Society guidelines for high-risk women are met.

• Mandates Department of Healthcare and Family Services ensure all adult client networks include access to at least one American College of Radiology-certified breast imaging Center of Imaging Excellence by January 1, 2015.

• On and after January 1, 2016, requires providers in approved breast cancer treatment quality programs to receive reimbursement at no lower than 95% of Medicare rates for breast cancer treatment data elements.

• On and after January 1, 2015, establishes grant program for breast cancer imaging and diagnostic equipment in rural, medically underserved areas and regions with high breast cancer mortality.

• Ensures provider and hospital reimbursement for post-mastectomy care benefits is no lower than Medicare rates effective January 1, 2015.
